Asset Manager

Westside is looking for an Asset Manager to drive results in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to management of vendor accounts; contract bidding and administration, insurance management, monthly and quarterly reporting, and property budgeting. He or she is responsible for monitoring investment & property performance, create long-term management strategies and review all budgets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assists underwriting of potential acquisition opportunities and developing initial asset management plan.
  • Conducts due diligence and works with a third party specialists like appraisers, accountants, consultants, etc.
  • Oversees local third party property managers and leasing agents.
  • Develops and executes management strategies to maximize the value of each asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and improvement of performance.
  • Reviews legal documents to ensure all the documents are in compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations; coordinates and works with a third party legal expert such as an attorney.
  • Identifies acquisition opportunities through contacts with brokers, developers, builders, bankers, landowners, engineers, planners, etc.
  • Executes exits strategy and conducts disposition process including broker selection, negotiation with buyers and lenders, closing, etc.
  • Participate in calls with operating partners for asset and market performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in real estate, finance, economics or another business discipline.
  • More than five years of experience in acquisition, asset management and / or property management is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize, and multi-task under pressure.
